Equipment

I had 8 items of baggage, viz:

2 front panniers
2 rear panniers
1 handlebar bag
1 small rucksack
1 tent
1 inflatable mattress

In addition, I had:

2 drink bottles with a combined capacity of 1.5 litre and
1 fuel bottle (Coleman fuel) with a capacity of 1 litre.

The tent and mattress loaded transversally across the top of the rear panniers and were fastened with elastic straps. The small rucksack sat on top of these, and was also fastened with elastic straps.
