To complete the story of my trip, I took the Hurtigruten coastal steamer from Honningsvåg to Trondheim (3 days) and the bus from there to Haltdalen (2 hours), where our hut is located. Kari and Kathryn joined me there, and we travelled back to Switzerland by car at the end of August.

I have finally managed to upload the remainder of the photos from the tour, and added some comments to them. I have also extracted the 8 reports, which I sent from various Internet access points along the way, and uploaded those as well. I've resisted the temptation to edit the text of these reports, so as not to disturb the feeling of immediacy, which I tried to put into them. I have simply corrected a few spelling mistakes, changed things like "ae" to appear as "ä", added some title information where necessary, and corrected the Web links where they have changed.

For my own interest, and for the possible help of prospective cycle tourists, I intend to add more information to the Web page with time, especially information on the gear which I took, and possibly details about the route. I don't, however, intend to broadcast any more messages to indicate the availability of such additions. The mailing list will be closed.

Thanks again to all of you who sent me encouragement whilst under way. It was always a pleasure to receive reminders of home.
